SUPPLIER'S ALLERGEN DECLARATION

SUPPLIER DECLARATIONS_edited.jpg

Allergen declarations for the ingredients you purchase can or will change from supplier to supplier, and often from batch to batch.  Always make sure that the supplier from whom you buy your ingredients has the appropriate documentation available to you.  The above example is from CSS and is what you should be able to get from a reputable supplier.  In order to meet UK/EU regulations for labelling, it is YOUR responsibility to ensure that the allergen declarations on your labels you produce reflect the batch you have made and, the batch which you have purchased from the supplier.

The best way to do this is when the ingredient comes into stock, avoiding having a big job to when setting up your labels.  Cosmetic Companion gives you a quick and easy way to do this.  Keep the records up to date for when you create your labels.

LABELING YOUR PRODUCTS TO MEET UK/EU REQUIREMENTS

The text needed for your labels is produced comma-delimited, the usual format for labels, and as free text (in the corrects sequence).  You can then copy/paste the text into your labelling software.  Under new regulations some allergens must be declared by grouping them under a group name, different to the name you would normally use.  All of this is taken care of automatically by Cosmetic Companion Pro*.
